June Daugherty

June Daugherty is an American women's college basketball coach at Washington State University. She was previously the head coach at Boise State University from 1989-1996 and the University of Washington from 1997-2007 and has a career record of 314-213. In her 11 years at UW she took her teams to the NCAA tournament 6 times, including her final year at UW, after which she was fired for what UW Athletic Director Todd Turner said was a "lack of buzz" around the women's basketball program. Less than a month later on April 20, 2007 Daugherty was officially introduced as head coach at UW's biggest rival, WSU, a school she never lost to in 22 contests while at UW.
